Therapists in Houston, Texas
Live In Freedom.
A team of therapists ready to walk with you through the difficulties of life.
LIFE IN HOUSTON DOESN’T HAVE TO HAPPEN ALONE.
Though we often try, we simply aren’t meant to journey through this world alone. It’s just not the way it was meant to be. Life confronts us with that reality at every turn.
At birth, we need to be fed. From childhood, we need to be taught. As adults, we need wisdom, work, healthy relationships, help to get the kids to practice, and the list could go on.
Why? Because we were created for community.
We need people alongside us.
And that’s what Alethia Counseling is—a team of skilled therapists in the Montrose area of Houston, Texas, who are continually readying themselves to come alongside you, point you to the truth, and empower you to live the fuller, freer life you were meant to live.
Welcome to Alethia Counseling.

HOUSTON Counseling FAQs
Can you guys work with my schedule?
Yes. While we do have office hours, we know those hours just don’t work for everyone. So, our counselors work to make themselves available when it’s most convenient for you.
Can I meet with a counselor in person?
Yes. We see clients in our physical office in Houston. Located just west of Midtown about 10 blocks north of I-69, we’re easy to access—no matter where in Houston you are.
Does your office have parking?
Yes. We have parking right here at our building! So, you can leave your Camelbak at home because you won’t be trekking to our office from a parking spot 12 blocks away.
Can I meet with a therapist online?
Yes. As you can imagine, our online counseling option has grown significantly. And we understand why—online counseling is a great option for those with challenging schedules.
If I need counseling, does that mean I'm "troubled?"
No. Wisdom isn’t something we’re born with—it’s something we acquire. We need wisdom from others. And that’s what counseling is. So, counseling doesn’t mean you’re troubled—it means you’re human.
Who will my counselor be?
That depends. If you already have a particular Alethia counselor in mind, then you can make a request. Otherwise, we’ll work with you to determine which counselor may be the best fit for you.
What is a counseling session like?
A counseling session is not a meeting with a know-it-all who has mastered life and has all of the answers. It’s more like a meeting with a friend who is there to help you navigate life’s challenges and obstacles.
How often do I meet with my therapist?
That depends upon your situation and availability. We see some clients once per week, others once every couple of weeks, and others as needed. We’ll work with you to figure out what works best for you.
