I believe that healing happens in the context of relationships, and I am dedicated to cultivating a safe and welcoming environment where clients can come as they are and work collaboratively toward their goals. It takes great strength to decide to come to counseling and it has been a joy to witness the healing that happens when clients give themselves space to slow down and process.

In addition to a person-centered foundation, I draw upon psychodynamic and CBT techniques, ensuring a tailored and effective therapeutic experience. My areas of clinical work include anxiety, depression, grief, perfectionism, life transition, and substance use issues. I also have an interest in supporting clients with OCD, BPD or Bipolar.

Whether teens, or adults I am dedicated to helping clients establish boundaries, create healthy coping skills, and build resilience. Ultimately, my desire is to help my clients become more grounded and experience life to the full. I currently live in Edinburgh, Scotland, and am available for online sessions. I am under the supervision of Leigh Hines, LPC-S.

Shannon’s rate is $120 per session.
