About Alethia Counseling Services in Austin, Texas

Let’s take a walk.

Our symbol is the compass, because our goal is to better navigate all people asking for help. Not to lead the way, but to move forward together. Making the decision to come to counseling (as well as the counseling process itself) can be difficult. Everyone needs some counseling from time-to-time, but it takes a certain amount of health to get it! We applaud you for looking. Here is some information about us that will hopefully help you move toward making a wise, informed decision.

Regardless of what led you here, congratulations on taking this big step towards your growth and healing. I believe that if we’ve been hurt in relationship, we can heal through relationship. My hope is that our journey together will help you gain clarity and tools for reaching your goals and becoming the best version of yourself.  While I work with a variety of issues, I specialize in trauma, grief, and relational issues utilizing EMDR, walk and talk therapy, and play therapy, in addition to others. My intention is that the safety of my office (in-person or virtual) will be a part of the healing process for you. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and am supervised by Chris Legg, LPC-S and Reem Glasco, LPC-S. Let’s connect and see if we’re a fit!

Let’s be real: mental health is hard and sometimes it’s even harder to talk about it. I understand what that feels like and I want to support you in sitting in that and helping you heal through conversation. Whatever is leading you to seek counseling, our work together will be founded on grace, empathy, respect, and a blanket of support while we work together to meet your goals. While I enjoy working with a variety of counseling issues, I specialize in emotional identification and processing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and enjoy integrating parts work and faith-based counseling into my work, if that’s something you’d like to bring into our sessions. I’m passionate about making my counseling room (virtual or in-person) a safe space for all, regardless of your beliefs or backgrounds. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Dr. Ellen Melton, PhD, LPC-S. I earned my Masters of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University, love to express myself (and my emotions) through art, and love animals (especially my dog, Ginger). I’m looking forward to hearing from you, let’s talk so we can see if we’re a good fit!

The Greek word for counselor is “Paraklete.”

Think “two pairs of shoes.”

It refers to a person that comes to walk alongside others.

Too many people attempt to journey down all the paths alone. There are times, and paths, when we need someone alongside to encourage, support, and help us.

We look forward to hearing from you
